I’ve surveyed most of my current clients and all new ones about meeting in the office. 99.5% indicate virtual meetings are fine, even preferred. Of the less than 1% who prefer in-person meetings, all have said they would still meet virtually if I don’t go back to the office, which, at this point, is still under consideration. Current plans to return to the office have been pushed back, probably until Summer 2023, if at all. Many in my profession think virtual counseling is here to stay. I agree. If I do start seeing people in person, I’ll probably start with a hybrid plan. Hybrid means I’ll continue to send out email notifications the morning of the appointment, will leave my computer up and running BUT open the front door to the office.
